The SpeakEasy M.E.D.I.A. Foundation founded in January of 2009 was created in honor of the late Andria Hall. Our foundation has been formed solely for charitable and educational purposes. Specifically, the SpeakEasy M.E.D.I.A. Foundation will provide health services and scholarships to disadvantaged youth in the United States and the Caribbean who are interested in pursuing a career in the field of Communications.

Andria Hall was the former President of SpeakEasy M.E.D.I.A. Incorporated, a media and public presentation consulting firm that inspires clear and effective communications to clients in North America and the Caribbean. An Emmy Award winning broadcast journalist, Andria had a fruitful career at the news anchor desk of the world renowned CNN/USA. In addition to working in the nations number one market at the number one station in New York City, New York’s NBC affiliate, she was also a national news correspondent with FOX Network. While working in Boston, Massachusetts her work earned the industry’s prestigious Gabriel and DuPont Awards.

In 2020 SpeakEasy M.E.D.I.A  partnered with Mindful Movement Florida to expand our charitable work. Mindful Movement offers health and wellness programming for Pinellas County youth and adults from historically excluded populations. Mindful Movement takes a holistic approach and works to empower students of all ages using the practice of yoga to provide guidance, self regulation and education in the practice of mindfulness, a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.

The SpeakEasy M.E.D.I.A. Foundation is run by a group of board members who meet quarterly to discuss and vote on future plans for the foundation. The foundation is an approved IRS 501(c)(3) organization.
